We’ve had a very busy few months at Nouveau Design due to a major new client coming on board: LG Commercial Air Conditioning.

We were asked by Ian Robertson, the new General Manager of LG Commercial Air Conditioning, to present a marketing proposal for launching an awareness campaign for the LG CAC brand. Ian was impressed with our creative and strategy and awarded Nouveau Design the project with a launch date of 1st October 2009.

Since then it has been all systems go as we have produced a series of print ads for the trade press, a new website, videos for the website, editorial and photography. You can view the finished site at www.lgcac.com.au and the print ads are appearing in trade publications such as Ecolibrium, Climate Control News and Property Australia.

Another new client to Nouveau Design is George Weston Foods – Cakes & Ingredients Division. Again this required a creative pitch for the business which we thankfully won with flying colours.

Not a huge project, but an interesting one that required a reworking of existing branding for new stationery items including business cards for approximately 50 employees. Our client Catherine Jackson has been very happy with the work so we are hoping it will lead to bigger projects such as packaging and advertising in the future.

Other clients who have also been active over the last few months for us include Blockout Shutters, Horiso, OneVue, Boema Coffee, Think Learn Succeed, Face Accountants, Thomas GLC, and Alexandra Roberts Counselling.

Finally, we are pleased to announce that our building has been given a colour make-over to match our corporate branding. Gone is the boring cream, green and baby poo brown colour. We now have a striking dark blue and emerald green building with orange doors. It looks great and works well with the interior colour scheme. It is probably different to what most people were expecting. Rather than follow the path of most other marketing companies and have it ego driven, we have made it all about how we can help our clients.

Of course there are samples of our work in the View Our Work section, but the main thrust of the site is to help clients question how their marketing is working and what strategies they need to put in place to help improve their business. To view our site, please use the link on the left.

Greater Data is a new company set up by Georgie Brooks. His company specialises in data management including:

• Innovative prospect targeting
• Insightful data enhancement
• Lead generation.

We’ve just completed his corporate identity and hopefully will be starting on his website soon. Georgie can be contacted on 0448 588 085 should you need his services.

Another new client is Alexandra Roberts Counselling. As the name suggests, Alexandra provides counselling as well as psychotherapy. Alexandra is setting up a new practice on the North Shore and she can be contacted on 0409 201 604. Again we’ve completed her new corporate identity and next on the agenda is her website.

We are pleased to announce the new website for Blockout Shutters is up and running. Blockout have been a long term client of Susan and now Nouveau Design. We’ve been working on this site for a number of months, as it has over 60 pages of content. It was built with a Content Management System and includes an image gallery, downloadable brochures, interactive forms, a media page with links to YouTube content, a Freecall service and much, much more.

It caters very specifically to their target market in a design grid that is quite different to their competitors. Check it out at www.blockoutshutters.com.au

Face Accountants is another client that Nouveau Design has worked closely with over the years. We are working on some new marketing material for them now, which will be ready in the coming months.

Another client Turner Bros, has briefed us on a new corporate brochure and presentation folder. Susan is currently coming up with some amazing ideas and once approved will go straight into production. Turner Bros is an Australian company that has been around for over 100 years and has a number of products that service architects and the building trade including external solar control systems, furnishings, lighting control systems and internal shading systems.

Finally we’ve completed  a few ads for Wrimco in the last couple of months. Wrimco provide water proofing solutions for buildings and the company is run by Geoff Thompson who is still going strong at age 85!

I’ll finish off by giving you a quick marketing tip:

Do you have your domain details and register key for your website safely filed? When registering your domain name, it is crucial that you safely file the paperwork provided by the company who issued your name. Without these details, you can’t transfer your site to a new hosting company. This is especially important when you upgrade a site. Even worse is the fact that you could loose your domain name or be held ransom by unscrupulous operators.

Domain details can be accessed through a central database held by Melb It, but it takes a while and is a bit of a hassle. So avoid it at all costs and keep your paperwork well sorted.
